SUMMARY:ESCAPE to the Future
DESCRIPTION:ESCAPE (European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle physics ESFRI research infrastructures) is a H2020 project and one of the five ESFRI clusters that aims to produce versatile solutions to support the implementation of EOSC\, encourage cross-fertilisation and foster joint multi-wavelength/multi-messenger capabilities in the astronomy\, astrophysics and particle astrophysics communities. \nThe project brings together a cluster with ESFRI projects with aligned challenges of data-driven research\, with demonstrated capabilities in addressing various stages of data workflow and concerned with fundamental research through complementary approaches. \nTo support the EOSC implementation\, ESCAPE has created the “EOSC Cell”\, a cross-border and multidisciplinary environment to enable the EOSC community to adopt the services\, e-infrastructures\, and data stewardship of ESFRI projects. \n\nCitizen Science (CS): an open gateway dedicated to the public through Citizen Science and communication actions.\nData Infrastructure for Open Science (DIOS): a scalable federated data infrastructure as the basis of an open access data service for the ESFRI projects within ESCAPE and concerned by Exabyte-scale data volumes.\nESFRI Science Analysis Platform (ESAP): a flexible science platform for the analysis of open access data.\nOpen science Software and Service Repository (OSSR): the repository of scientific software services of the research infrastructures concerned by the ESCAPE.\nVirtual Observatory (VO): astronomical high-level products archive and related services.\n\n  \nThe ESCAPE Final Event will take place between 25 and 26 October 2022\, at the Royal Belgium Institute of Natural Sciences\, located in Brussels (Belgium). \nJoin the community in Brussels or through remote connection. Please note there is a limit of 150 registrations for those who aim to join us in Brussels\, so save your seat at earliest. Registration is open till 24 September 23:59 CEST. \nThe event is open to all and free of charge. \nPurpose and scope\nThe members of the cluster will share their results and achievements\, present ESCAPE services and discuss the future challenges of the ESCAPE Collaboration. \nLearn about the ESCAPE results and foresee the future after the end of the ESCAPE project. \nWho should attend\nESCAPE project members\, as well as members of other Science Clusters\, EOSC-Association members\, ESFRI and other Research Infrastructure representatives. Astrophysics\, Particle and Nuclear Physics scientific community members and all those interested in the ESCAPE services and in EOSC overall. \nREGISTER NOW

SUMMARY:EOSC Pillar: Final Conference
DESCRIPTION:The EOSC-Pillar Final Conference: Building an EOSC from National Contributions will highlight some of the main results of the EOSC-Pillar project alongside other European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) regional projects and national initiatives\, in particular how they provide important foundations for the operations and sustainability of EOSC. The event also aims to provide a forum for the EOSC community at the European level and the national initiative representatives to meet and generate collaborations and meaningful activities. \nSince beginning in July 2019\, EOSC-Pillar has worked with key representatives of national Open Science initiatives in Austria\, Belgium\, France\, Germany and Italy to ensure their contribution and  readiness for the implementation of EOSC. EOSC-Pillar has analysed the state of the art of national initiatives and compute and data services and supported consolidation\, harmonised procedures for the delivery of horizontal enabling services for research data across countries\, collaborated with other initiatives to achieve harmonisation for an inclusive EOSC\, promoted FAIR data uptake at national levels and across scientific communities and borders\, enabled non-commercial transnational services to accessible through the EOSC Portal\, built an active stakeholder community of EOSC supporters in each country\, and proposed viable business models for the sustainable provision of transnational services. At the same time\, its counterpart projects also worked towards similar goals in their own regions and national institutions worked towards aligning better with EOSC. \nUnderstand how well integrated are national initiatives to EOSC and where else does the work remain. This is a public event and so\, key players in the EOSC community are encouraged to attend. Register now! Limited seats available. \nProgramme and Registration
