DESCRIPTION:Join us in 2 weeks to learn about the role of persistent identifiers in Open Science and how they can improve research infrastructures across the Arab world! \nThe Adoption of Persistent Identifiers in MENA: Challenges and Opportunities is a 1.5-hour workshop that aims to introduce participants to the use of Persistent Identifier (PIDs) in Open Research practices across the MENA region\, looking at what they offer to the research infrastructure and to the scientific community as a whole. \n‘The Adoption of Persistent Identifier (PIDs) in MENA: Challenges and Opportunities’ will present the current challenges and solutions presented when implementing PIDs in the MENA region. Participants will gain an understanding of the global Open Infrastructure landscape and how PIDs are being used on global and national levels.
