SUMMARY:RDA's 22nd Plenary Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Research Data Alliance’s 22nd Plenary meeting (VP22) is now confirmed and will take place as a fully virtual event. Organised by the RDA Secretariat\, VP22 will be held for half-days spread across two weeks\, between 14-23 May 2024. \nWith the theme “Local Action – Global Connection”\, which also aligns with the four themes of RDA’s Strategic Plan\, the plenary will focus on collaboration and engagement with our global community through the sharing of local experiences\, best practices and  recommendations. \nWe invite individuals and groups at all stages of their careers to contribute to the discussions\, meet data professionals\, and get involved in the RDA community. Over the course of two weeks\, RDA Working and Interest Groups\, Communities of Practice and Birds of a Feather sessions will address the most significant challenges that data leaders face today\, presenting ongoing research that are building the fundamentals for data science. \nRegardless of where you are in the world\, you won’t need to travel anywhere! The target audience includes managers of research-performing and/or funding institutions\, evaluators\, librarians\, ICT experts\, as well as policy makers. euroCRIS is a non-profit professional association of CRIS experts and custodian of the Common European Research Information Format (CERIF).

SUMMARY:Benefits of EOSC and international collaboration in service development for Finnish Academia
DESCRIPTION:The FAIR National Roadshow series is visiting Finland on the 17th of May 2024!\nThe event will be virtually hosted by the CSC\, in Finland. \nThis event will bring together the Finnish Academia to learn about the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and its impact on the national level. The programme is structured in two parts. First\, the participants will get a comprehensive overview of what EOSC is all about and the status of its implementation complemented by a presentation by University of Eastern Finland\, the first Finnish research performance organisation that joined the EOSC Association. The second part will explore national services for research and the important role of international collaboration in developing them to implement the EOSC vision. Lastly\, the participants will be informed about FAIR-IMPACT engagement opportunities.
