DESCRIPTION:Katowice – a city preparing to accept the title of European City of Science 2024 – will host a conference accompanying ESOF 2022 Regional Site on 15 July 2022 at the International Congress Centre. \nThe programme of the conference in the International Congress Centre in Katowice includes twelve 75-minute on-site sessions\, four of which will be streamed online to Leiden. The sessions will be hosted by the universities forming the Katowice consortium of the European City of Science 2024\, The representatives of Polish and foreign science centres\, experts representing business\, cultural institutions\, and the media were invited to the discussion. \nParticularly interesting is the panel “Be Open – Be Scientist! SUMMARY:25 Years of FCT in Science
DESCRIPTION:In the context of the cycle of conferences associated with the celebrations of FCT’s 25th anniversary\, a session dedicated to the theme “Open Science\, Repositories and b-on (Online Library)” will be held on 26 July. The session will take place in Braga\, in the Pedagogical Complex II (CPII)\, Auditorium B1\, Gualtar campus\, University of Minho. The aim of this session is to enhance the involvement of researchers\, science managers\, students and the general public. \nHighlighted in this session are the topics of Open Science\, Open Science Policies and Infrastructures of the European Commission\, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)\, and Plan S\, which will be presented by speakers Eloy Rodrigues (Univ. Minho)\, Konstantinos Repanas (European Commission)\, Ignacio Blanquer (EOSC)\, and Johan Rooryck (cOAlition S). \nThis will take place in person\, requiring prior registration. Alternatively\, it will be possible to follow the session via online streaming. The complete program for the session is now available.
