Such tripartite governance under Horizon Europe continuously elaborates and updates the strategic agenda and annual roadmap for the construction of EOSC. \nThe Piano Nazionale Scienza Aperta is the reference for the Open Data policy and for the Italian contribution to EOSC. Its timely implementation requires a concerted action plan. \nAim of the event is providing information on opportunities and identifying coherent goals for all doers of the Italian research\, with emphasis on the PNRR engagement and national data infrastructure. \nThe Italian Tripartite Assembly will mirror and expand the scope of the EOSC governance in Italy and foster an effective and sustainable contribute to EOSC by engaging the competences of the Government\, research infrastructures\, research performing organisations\, academies\, data and computing infrastructures as well as the research community of all disciplines. \nAgenda \nThe morning session (10:30-13:30)\, will start with messages from the Tripartite governance: Minister of Research and Education and MUR DG Internationalization of Research\, European Commission\, EOSC Association\, EOSC Steering Board. The session will continue with a round table of EOSC Doers on the ongoing and prospective actions toward the fulfillment of the PNSA. The invited “Doers” will include presidents of research performing organizations and other institutions highly engaged in the PNRR 100% digital initiatives\, the academic community\, and the Italian research-evaluation authority. \nThe afternoon session (15:00 -17:30)\, will involve the national research community to discuss the PNSA implementation and the synergies with EOSC. Representatives of ongoing initiatives contributing to the objectives of this plan will be invited to share their experiences\, highlight lessons learned\, identify elements for a coherent action towards the implementation of Open Science in Italy. \n>> More info

SUMMARY:Blue-Cloud Virtual Labs for demonstrating cross-domain web-based open science Open Info Session
DESCRIPTION:The Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (VRE) hosts different Virtual Labs\, which users can access with existing credentials in EOSC\, the European Open Science Cloud. Multi-disciplinary datasets retrieved from the Blue-Cloud Data Discovery & Access Service (DD&AS) can be exploited in the thematic Virtual Labs. \nIn this webinar on #WorldOceanDay\, we are going to learn more about one of the VLabs that will expand on the work of the pilot Blue-Cloud: “Carbon-Plankton Dynamics”\, which will expand the Nutrient-Phytoplankton-Zooplankton-Detritus (NPZD) model developed in the Zoo and Phytoplankton EOV VLab with the integration of additional data from other regions\, and including a carbon sequestration component. \nWe will also discover a brand new VLab on “Integration of Coastal Ocean observations along Europe”\, working on the compilation and integration of European Coastal Ocean Data from JERICO and Blue Data Infrastructures to generate FAIR data products\, providing analytical tools for users to explore data in three thematic services: transboundary processes and connectivity along the European margins\, Extreme Events and Ocean glider. \nRegister now for free and take a seat for this lesson of the Blue-Cloud Training Academy!

SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Creating Community-Driven Pathways to Equitable Open Scholarly Publishing with CRAFT-OA\, DIAMAS\, and PALOMERA
DESCRIPTION:Join the webinar on 20 June at 1PM CEST to learn how three European Commission funded projects – CRAFT-OA\, DIAMAS\, and PALOMERA – are working for an equitable future for scholarly communication\, with academic communities at the centre. \nYou will be introduced to each project and their individual aims. Following this\, the discussion will focus on how\, despite their separate focus areas\, their efforts work towards a broad and common vision for a more open and equitable scholarly publishing ecosystem. CRAFT-OA is empowering regional journal platforms and publishing service providers to upscale\, professionalise\, and reach stronger interoperability with other scientific information systems\, by providing services and tools. The DIAMAS project is developing common standards\, guidelines and practices to build capacity for the Diamond publishing sector. Formulating recommendations of this kind aims to create a more sustainable future for OA Diamond Publishing in Europe. PALOMERA has set out to provide actionable recommendations and concrete resources to support and coordinate aligned funder and institutional policies for Open Access books. Doing so involves assessing challenges and bottlenecks that currently slow the widespread implementation of OA book policy. \nParticipants will have the chance to engage with the three projects and their vision for community-driven open scholarly publishing. Be part of this conversation and help us shape the future of Open Access as a community! DISCLAIMER: The information you provide will be handled in accordance with the DIAMAS project privacy policy. This event will be recorded\, published and shared after the event – due to this all participant cameras are automatically turned off on entry to the Zoom meeting. The event has a maximum capacity of 500 persons.

SUMMARY:Jornadas Científicas 2023
DESCRIPTION:Open Science represents an approach to science that is collaborative\, transparent and accessible\, facilitating the sharing and communication of processes and results. There is a wide range of activities in Open Science\, including open access publishing\, open data and open peer review. \nIt also includes\, however\, open innovation and citizen science\, or more broadly\, stakeholder engagement \, where companies and other partners\, including citizens\, directly participate in the investigation. \nOpen Science goes hand in hand with integrity and ethics on the part of researchers\, it improves the transparency and reproducibility of research\, as well as the public ownership of science\, especially that which is publicly funded. For Open Science to become widespread\, it is necessary to include Open Science practices in performance assessment and career development plans\, as well as in evaluation criteria for funding projects and institutions. \nThe opening lecture will generically address issues of open science and innovation\, followed by three thematic sessions\, in a round table format\, with guests and plenary participation. \nBefore and during the event\, electronic posters will be presented (see here the Digital Posters) in which the University of Lisbon will publicise its interdisciplinary activities and impact on society. \nIn this second edition of the Scientific Days of the University of Lisbon\, the ULisboa Atlas of Associate Laboratories 2023 is published\, which gathers information on the 21 Associated Laboratories in which the University of Lisbon is a leader or participant\, namely the scientific area of activity\, strategic objectives\, activities and impact. \nWebsite
